About Me!
@sleeping.blu, aka Jayla "Siana" Kearney or "Blue" is a Pennsylvania-based illustrator, designer and comic artist. Her passion for storytelling is inspired by her years enmeshed in the online world of fandom, exploring video games, manga, manwha, classic literature, and folklore from around the world. The most identifiable aspect of her work is her detailed linework, inspired by manga artists like Junji Ito. Siana enjoys exploring the barrier between the frightening and the familiar. Horror, fantasy, and romance are her favorite genres.
Professional Illustrations
An infographic done to explain the nonprofit Barrio Alegria's Timebank system. Barrio Alegria is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of residents in Reading, PA through the arts.
An illustration project done for Juneteeth, with comics inspired by recorded interviews with two of Reading, Pennsylvania's residents who were invested in uplifting and creating safe spaces for the black community of Reading. I had the pleasure of interviewing Frank McKraken myself and it was a delight.

A!M!A
Concepts and Designs for a comic titled A!M!A where a young (596 yrs old to be exact) vampire named Amaranthine (Ama) is navigating college, friendship, and romance following a 200 year gap in her memory. Ama is determined to focus on getting her afterlife together, but she can't help but get distracted by her cute classmate/coworker Su-Jin. The Sylvan
The Sylvan is a fantasy horror concept for a visual novel game where the player accompanies timid researcher Elijah Crane and his free spirited friend Ellyah S on their journey into the most dangerous forest in the world. The Sylvan is a mythical living forest that contains all of the knowledge in the world. Leaving the Sylvan with a book found growing there is a historic feat. However, the forest and nearly everything in it feeds on hubris and blood, so getting out alive or sane is your greatest challenge. (Click the images to learn more!)
DIVINE DIVINE!
After two years missing, Keldan Azure, the adored daughter of her coven's priestess, returns to her home the day her parents are killed in a tragic accident. Despite being previously a witch who couldn't use magic, Keldan returns with the ability to manipulate and create light. Even more shocking, she returns with a toddler on her arm.
